MEDITATE WITH TEA
At OFFICIAL RITUAL, we use tea as an anchor for meditation, creating stillness and awareness through the five senses.
Whether you're discovering tea for the first time or returning to something familiar, tea offers a way to step away from the noise of everyday life and return to the present.
Join us for an individual Tea Meditation, a guided Tea Ceremony, or explore our collection of single-origin teas to take home.
TEA SCHEDULE
OUR TEA
Our collection of looseleaf teas are single-origin (no blends or added flavors), sourced from small farms and selected by our friend, neighbor, and tea expert Sebastian Beckwith.
Each tea has its own character, shaped by its place of origin, the people who grow it, and the way it is made.
Whether you know exactly what you're looking for or have no idea where to begin, we'll help you find the right tea for the moment.
Explore the collection in the Tea Room or take your favorites home.
THE ROOM
A space for stillness, attention, and tea.
The Tea Room is intentionally quiet. Gentle conversation is welcome; phones, laptops, and tablets are not.
- Remove your shoes and settle in.
- Comfortable floor seating with upholstered seats and backs.
- Tea is prepared and enjoyed through multiple steepings.
- No food or outside refreshments.
Come as you are. You don't need to know anything about tea to begin.
WHY TEA? WHY NOW?
Tea ceremonies in Japan emerged during periods of war and instability, when stillness was a necessity rather than a luxury.
We carry that spirit forward.
Inspired by tea traditions, but bound to no single lineage, we use tea to return to the present: to reclaim our attention, focus, and energy in everyday life.
In a world that asks so much of our attention, sitting down with tea is a way to give some of it back to ourselves.
OUR INTENTION
There are so many incredible traditions for tea. This ancient beverage is enjoyed around the world in many ways.
While we work to understand and learn from the teacher that is tea, our intention at OFFICIAL RITUAL is one of heart and presence.
We use this incredible plant to drop into the body and out of the head to cultivate stillness and connection with the present moment.
